Code For Sustainable Homes

What is Code for Sustainable Homes?

A Code for Sustainable Home Assessment demonstrates how energy efficient your project is not only from CO2 emissions but as part of the construction it also scores you on water use, recycling, day lighting and many more. The sections that your project will be reviewed on are:

1. Energy
2. Water efficiency
3. Surface water management
4. Site waste management
5. Household waste management
6. Use of materials
7. Lifetime homes

Once the Code for Sustainable Homes Assessment is complete, your project will be given a star rating on scale from 1-6. With a star rating of 6 meaning the construction is zero carbon. A Code for Sustainable Homes Assessment has 2 stages. A "design" stage assessment which gives you an indication of what your project can achieve, and the "As Built" assessment which assigns the final rating.

How can we help?

Once you have decided to go down the route of Code for Sustainable Homes our Code Assessors will review your project and issue an initial Pre-code Assessment, and from there look to improve your rating in the most cost effective way. We will guide you through the detailed route of acheiving your code rating.
