SAP Calculations for Refurbishments are straightforward. The purpose of the calculation is to obtain an energy rating for the property and does not have to comply with new build standards. But does still need to demonstrate best practice to achieve a better energy rating than the existing building or property.
The SAP calculation for the refurbishments takes into consideration your projects fuel type, space heating & hot water, lighting, ventilation, insulation levels, air tightness and thermal mass. The SAP calculation for the refurbishment also gives you an indication of how energy efficient your project is.
